In the last four M&M Videos, we focused on:
• How to honor your Highest Self;
• How to love & accept yourself;
• How to activate the Reticular Activating System (“RAS”) in our brains to discover who we truly are; and,
• How to listen to our inner voice, to become who we choose to be.
In today’s Video, we apply the 5-Star VICTUS Mindset & Meditation (M&M) practice to be our truest, most Authentic Self.
How often do you take the time to discover your truest, most Authentic Self?
Are you committed — fully committed — to exploring all of your interests?
Too often, we stop before starting. We tell ourselves that we don’t have the time to try new things. We say we’re too busy with our jobs or taking care of our family or spending time with our friends.
We fill our time with hours spent checking off to-do lists, even if they don’t fill our cup, even if there will always be more to-do’s to do tomorrow, and the next day, and the next.
Then, we wonder why we have this nagging feeling of being unfulfilled. This background numbness or discontent.
As we age, the worse it seems to get.
We over-identify with our roles at work. We see ourselves as “professionals” with titles, as if everything we do must come with a title and commensurate salary.
Or we focus on giving ourselves to others, in our roles as spouses, parents, or friends.
We become imbalanced. We forget that we’re allowed to be individuals, too. To have time to ourselves. To give ourselves permission to explore who we are.
To play. To flow. To feel free.
Instead, we minimize our interests, like playing the piano or the guitar, learning how to paint, how to take and edit photos, or writing a book or poetry, as mere “hobbies.”
We “dabble,” because we don’t think it could ever measure up to a “real career.”
Or — worse — we don’t do it at all.
Deep down, what we’re really looking for is a guarantee.
Secretly, we want a guarantee before we “waste our time” becoming skilled at something new.
Unfortunately, that’s not how it works. We can’t wait for a guarantee before we start.
We can’t discover our truest, most Authentic Self by reading any book. Or by watching any video.
We can’t sit on the sidelines.
We just have to do it.
We have to dive in.
We need to give it a go, to stumble and fall, to make mistakes and learn, often clumsily, until we start to get the hang of it.
That’s when the magic happens.
Creativity’s sparked inside of you.
Little by little you get better.
And, before you know it, you find yourself smiling at the progress you’ve made.
You feel that amazing burst of energy and excitement.
And you follow the breadcrumbs, those tasty little morsels of joy that breathe life into your hours and your days.
You look forward to creativity — for its own sake.
It’s enlivened all this happiness inside of you.
And, you realize, it’s brought you closer to the truth.
Your truth. It’s what makes you Authentically YOU.

Write to foster a Secure Attachment to your Self.
Write to discover who you actually are.
Write to take off the mask.
Write to see your truest, genuine Self.
Write to find your Purpose.
Write to break free, to taste freedom.
Write to be brave.
Write to cure loneliness.
Write to prove you’re never alone.
Write to quash self-doubt.
Write to overcome all your fears.
Write to express yourself honestly.
Write to show your real Self.
Write to be authentic.
Write to love your life.
Write to live with love in your heart, words, and actions.
Write to be true to you.
Write, for in doing so, I see myself in you.
